6 weeks!

This is my favorite picture of her so far :) and this is when she was only about a week and a half old...it seems like just yesterday...

So Shayleigh is officially 6 weeks now! I can't believe how time has flown by....she looks so different everyday and I am just trying to enjoy ever minute I can with her. I have my 6 week check up next week and hopefully everything is looking good so I can start running and preparing for the Ragnar Relay Race that my family is doing together this summer. It is going to be so much fun! So I started having periods again and I gotta say I am not happy about it at all...it really sucks! I was wishing I would be like my mom and not have a period the whole time I am nursing but I guess that is not the case...I now have to get some kind of birth control...I hate taking pills so that is out and I hate shots but I think they are only like every three months so that is an option but I dunno.

Anywho...Shayleigh, Patrick, and I are doing great and getting into the groove of being parents. It is tough but so rewarding and so fun. She started smiling at us and I don't think I ever mentioned it but she started rolling over at two weeks old! And she has been holding her head up like a champ since she came out of the womb. I am so proud of my Shay-Shay :) She is so sweet and keeps us on our toes but we love it. She has her daddy wrapped around her little finger and I absolutely love it. I love watching him with her it just melts my heart <3

Oh man I am sooo excited for thanksgiving I can't even wait! It is going to be the smallest Thanksgiving in Holyoak history. It is only going to be Matt, Kirsten, Patrick, Me, And my Parents. So weird...but on the plus side we will have the whole family here for Christmas :)
